So I will be explaining the whole process that I went through when I was there this is what I did and what happened, well first of all, for my first pregnancy and second pregnancy I didn't do much research, am sorry, to tell the truth for my 3rd and 4th I didn't do much research either I just focused on eating healthy and it all went well.
Preparing for a C-section can be scary but God gave me the strength, I couldn't do it on my own, I believe in him in such a way that I put everything in his hands and knew he was going to be with me, Okay to cut the story short.
WATER AND FASTING
The day before my C-section I drank a lot of water just before the fasting, believe me, you have to take the fasting and please drink water because you don't want to need the bathroom when you are in that bed and you won’t feel comfortable and you going to feel pain so the bathroom business do it a few hours before the C-section, so take the fasting but sip water little by little during the fasting.
BATHING
I didn't know that I had to stay in bed for hours or should I say a day without bathing it didn't feel good at all, even when you start walking around you have to be careful the way you take a bath, So what I did it didn't make much difference but had to take a long bath on my second pregnancy, well all the other pregnancies after my first I made sure I took a long one, few hours before my c- section.
THE THEATRE
It was time, what happened was I went to the theatre well that place is cold, you can not do anything about it just focus on that lovely bundle you going to be currying in a few hours, okay am in there, the epidural woo... not a fan of needles so what I did I breathe in and out a lot and believe me that helped me a lot especially when the Dr told me it ready I would just breath in and then in an out a lot because I think they do it two times, but to give you advise focus on thinking about what the baby is going to look like you or daddy then everything will go smooth.
BABY, I BORN
well, when you can’t feel yourself, I mean your legs then the Dr. is going to start but there is usually someone there whos going to ask you if you are okay every 30 minutes, well that what happened to me, and then they would show you the baby before the Pediatrician check him/her if she/his super, please take a lot of pictures because that scene is not going to happen again unless you get pregnant again but still that moment it for the other baby that you going to be having, so enjoy it.
PEDIATRICIAN AND BABY
The pediatrician is there to tell you all about baby, that everything is okay, so you'll be smiling and then they take him/her to a warm incubator where the baby will be monitored, while you rest a little bit, well I didn't rest I couldn't wait to Cuddle, Mundle, bundle My little bundle.
EATING AND DRINKING
Well, you will have to fast before going to deliver your baby, you will be so hungry and feeling like you want to eat everything you've been fasting so yeah that how you going to feel, you are hungry please don't eat solid food and don't drink water just after your C-section, eat those ice cubes they going to give you, you don't want to vomit or need the bathroom very early while you can’t even walk to the bathroom wait until at least 12 hours to eat solid food and drink water, your system needs to adjust to what has been done to your body, well if you decide to eat you not going to feel comfortable.
During the first pregnancy I was like being hungry am just going to eat, don't these people know how hungry I am, well it didn't go well after that, the food didn't know that I just had an operation and that it has to squeeze in nicely to my system so I won’t feel uncomfortable, my body can't communicate with the food and tell it, I just had an operation, everything carries on as normal I am the one who has to be careful of what goes in my mouth and well that was the pain start, the food wants to do it thing to your system because you just ate while your system needs a break because you just had an operation, so if you don't want to make those strange noises, oh, yes I did in my first pregnancy, but you can just stick to the ice cubes for a little while, all will be well.
BREASTFEEDING AFTER A C-SECTION
It is very important to breastfeed the moment your baby is given to you don't need to wait to be told, to increase your supply you have to do it after every 3 hours, with my 4th baby, I relaxed a lot and didn't breastfeed him and my supply didn't go well yes, I was thinking about my other kids because no one knows her kids better than mommy, so was thinking if they okay with daddy, so please ask for baby and feed him and boost that milk if you planning to breastfeed would only talk about breastfeeding because I breastfeed all my kids.
WALK, WALK…WALK
Some of you may think I don't understand, I do a lot I had 4 C-sections so I completely understand and know what am talking about, After a C-section, I relaxed at least 1 day, day 2 I pushed myself up and I was walking to the nursery myself to check on baby, I had to because if I sat for too long the healing process was going to take to long. Every night I walked on the passage 20 times back and forth before going to sleep, well I wanted to go home and be with my family, am not a fan of the Hospitals so I just wanted to be out of there and spend time with my extended family, enjoying the new addition to our family. I just don't like hospitals, I want to have my baby and go home once am good to go so that nurses can take care of other patients.
As long as you take the fast, you'll be okay, because the food will make you move around a lot on that bed with pain, it won't say am going to wait a little bit until you're okay, and find my way!!
